Terms of service
Effective September 22, 2026
These are the terms we work under. We wrote them in plain English, the same way we talk to you, not in legalese.
Who we are: Vortex Labs is the trade name of a business registered in Uruguay under tax ID (RUT) 221051150013, located at Calle Esmeralda, Maldonado, Maldonado 20000, Uruguay. Contact: info@vortexlabsia.com.
What you get
A website and an assistant that answers your customers, both live and working. Your monthly fee includes:
- Your published website and its hosting.
- The assistant, trained on your business information and answering on your website.
- An email notification when someone leaves their information to be contacted.
- Content updates as you need them (text, prices, photos, hours).
- Keeping everything running. If something breaks, we fix it.
Your plan and fee are the ones published on this site at the time you sign up.
What we need from you
- Your business information, and it needs to be accurate. The assistant answers based on what you give us. If your prices or hours change and you don’t tell us, it will keep giving out the old ones.
- A heads-up when something changes. That’s the only way to keep the assistant up to date.
- Content that you own or have permission to use (text, photos, logos).
What the assistant does and doesn’t do
The assistant answers using the business information you gave us. It’s software, not a person, so it can make mistakes or misunderstand a question. When it doesn’t know something, it’s set up to say so and pass the customer to a person, instead of making up an answer.
To be clear:
- It doesn’t close sales or sign anything on your behalf. It answers questions, shares information and collects contact details.
- What the assistant says about prices or terms doesn’t replace what you agree to with your customer. If what the assistant said is different from what you agreed to, your agreement is what counts.
- If you need it to stop answering for a while, we’ll pause it.
Fees, payments and cancellation
- The fee is monthly, and there’s no minimum commitment. You can cancel anytime by letting us know before the next month begins.
- If you stop paying, we’ll let you know before we turn anything off. Without payment, the assistant and the website are taken down.
- If you cancel, your business content belongs to you and we’ll hand it over. If the domain is yours, we’ll transfer it to you.
- If we need to change the price, we’ll give you one month’s notice. The new price applies to the following months only, never retroactively.
What we can’t promise
We want to be upfront about this before you sign up:
- We can’t promise a spot on Google. We work to make sure your site can be found, but Google decides who shows up first, and nobody can guarantee a ranking.
- We can’t promise a number of customers or sales. That depends on your business, your market and your prices.
- We can’t promise the service will never go down. We rely on third-party services (the ones listed in our privacy policy). If something goes down, we handle it, but we can’t promise it will never happen.
Liability
We do our work carefully and stand behind what we deliver. We can’t take responsibility for lost profits. If the assistant was down for a day, we’re responsible for that day of service, not for sales you estimate you missed.
Your customers’ data
The conversations and contacts the assistant collects on your site belong to your business. We process them only to run the service, as described in our privacy policy. We don’t use them for anything else, and we don’t share them with anyone.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top will change, and if the change affects you, we’ll let you know by email.
